Lessons for Good Living

  1. Initiate a conversation with someone who is at least 25 years older than you and then listen to what they have to say.
  2. Prepare “breakfast in bed” for you and eat it — IN BED!
  3. Take an hour-long, quiet bubble bath at least once a week.
  4. Forgive someone for something they did to you over five years ago.
  5. Write a love letter to yourself and mail it to you.
  6. Make a list of things you wish you could do but never had the courage and then do at least one.
  7. Laugh at your silly mistakes; and for recognizing how little they matter.
  8. Spread a picnic in your backyard, balcony or living room floor, at night, and share it with someone you love.
  9. Think of at least one good thing about the person closest to you that you would miss if they were gone and tell them.
  10. Write a prayer for your family and what you would like it to be and read it each day.
