Diane Cole Stevens is no ordinary woman! She is someone who knows and understands what is important in life and shares it in a subtle, but impactful way.
I met Diane quite by accident, although I know, there are no accidents life. While visiting a grieving friend who is the former host of a television show, I happened upon this remarkable woman. My intrigue about Diane’s work landed me in the spot of having to interview her as a fill-in for an upcoming segment.
It was during my interview that I learned of her work with the Cinderella Foundation. The Cinderella Foundation was founded by Diane a couple of years back and came about through her main profession as a top hair stylist and owner of Cole-Stevens Salon and Spa.
At the end of the interview, I was invited to visit her establishment and having visited salons and spas in various places around the country and therefore very hard to impress, I did not know quite what to expect.
I must admit that I was not prepared for what would ultimately be one of the best experiences I have had in a very long time. It was not that what they offered was anything out of the ordinary, if you take into consideration the things you would expect from salon of this caliber. It was, instead, how her staff made me feel.
They were warm, attentive, pleasant and they said thank you at the end of my session.
In a day and age where patrons are made to feel as though they are imposing upon the people who have hung out their shingle to serve the paying public, this was indeed a nice change of pace.
I am sure Diane’s attitude and caring nature has a lot to do with why her staff have adopted such an attitude.
