The Cupboard
No “good-stocked” cupboard is complete without the best ingredients. In order to insure success when whipping up your favorite recipes, one thing is for sure, you cannot skimp on your ingredients. The difference in so-so results and one that is absolutely amazing is based upon the quality of what you whip up in your recipe. Also, be sure to replace things like baking soda and baking powder that might be outdated.
To keep down costs, search the internet or local newspaper circulars for sales on items on your shopping list. Most stores will run specials during this time of the year in order to take advantage of the increased demand. Warehouse food outlets like Costco & Sam’s are great for the extra baking and holiday cooking that happens this time of the year. Be sure to do cost comparisons as very often regular retail food stores will be cheaper. And lastly, add to this list depending on your own recipe.
