Happy New Year!
The old cliché is: new resolutions and beginnings. As we start with new goals, dreams and plans, decree and confess that things will be even greater than before. But for some of us we have no choice but to begin anew.
During this past holiday season, I lost my dearly beloved husband after a long battle with prostate cancer on November 29, 2010. It was a bittersweet moment. There was no more pain and suffering for him, but it was certainly a great loss for loved ones. We have choices to waddle or move forward in the midst of change. So easily said, but the experience of picking up the pieces are extremely challenging. Sorting through my emotions and trying to prevent a tidal wave of feelings and tears from consuming me for the next minute, hours or days was challenging, but I found peace in asking God to comfort with HIS peace and strength to get through the next moment.
As I began reflecting on the many wonderful days my husband and I shared together and holding on to the precious moments, I realized that I HAD to go forward with my life. Every single cell in our bodies is designed by the very nature of God to move forward. When our thoughts and feeling linger in the past, we become stagnant by nature and we set ourselves up for dis-ease. The day after Christmas, I decided to check myself into a beautiful place called Hallelujah Acres Lifestyle Center in Plant City, FL for an entire week. It was the best decision I could have made for myself. With that decision, I set myself up to a New Beginning for the New Year gaining a new perspective on life and a renewed mind and on my way to a healthy body. Every day was like a breath of fresh air! Upon rising every morning, we had prayer, daily devotion, and fresh carrot/green leafy juice and barley green juice. The fresh juice was followed by walking, rebounding, educational lectures and hands on demonstrations of the delicious live foods preparation, and a great time to share with others in our time of need. What a great way to start the New Year.
The week allowed me to Let Go, Hold On to the preciousmemories, and Take Hold of my husband's legacy of Truth and Righteousness and to Move Forward in life. I will always miss my husband and will carry his Spirit in my heart forever. I Love you Buddy (James H. Long).
If you need a place to meet God and to rejuvenate for a New Beginning, I highly recommend Hallelujah Acres in Plant City, FL, what an awesome and wonderful journey. Please visit their website www.edenwellness.org and when you visit, please let them know we recommended you. Enjoy.
