Lessons for Good Living
- Pick up and listen to John Legend’s new “Wake Up” and then do something to change the world around you.
- Make a list of all the things you dislike about your life and change at least one over the next 30 days.
- Enjoy an autumn sunrise and then take a moment to say thank you.
- Introduce yourself to a neighbor you do not know.
- Learn how to make homemade applesauce and apple butter and invite a few friends over for a canning party.
- Take an inventory of the positive and negative influences in your life and then do something to change what is not good.
- Volunteer at least one hour a month at a local nursing home or children’s ward at local hospital.
- Help an elderly neighbor prepare their dwelling for the winter.
- Spend $10 on a non-necessity, but useful item, to help boost the economy and decrease the unemployment lines.
- Give thanks each day for the blessings in your life; especially the small ones.
