Lessons for Good Living

  1. Pick up and listen to John Legend’s new “Wake Up” and then do something to change the world around you.
  2. Make a list of all the things you dislike about your life and change at least one over the next 30 days.
  3. Enjoy an autumn sunrise and then take a moment to say thank you.
  4. Introduce yourself to a neighbor you do not know.
  5. Learn how to make homemade applesauce and apple butter and invite a few friends over for a canning party.
  6. Take an inventory of the positive and negative influences in your life and then do something to change what is not good.
  7. Volunteer at least one hour a month at a local nursing home or children’s ward at local hospital.
  8. Help an elderly neighbor prepare their dwelling for the winter.
  9. Spend $10 on a non-necessity, but useful item, to help boost the economy and decrease the unemployment lines.
  10. Give thanks each day for the blessings in your life; especially the small ones.
